ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - A 20-year-old upstate New York woman has been charged with felony DWI in the death of her boyfriend.

Police say 26-year-old Michael Hackney was struck early Thursday morning by a car driven by his girlfriend, Elizabeth Page. Hackney was hit while walking in a driveway on the south side of the city.

WHEC reports that first responders had to jack up the car to get Hackney out from under it. He was taken to Strong Hospital, where he later died.

According to police, Page also is charged with first-degree vehicular manslaughter. Authorities say she was convicted of DWI in 2015 and currently is on probation.

It could not immediately be determined if Page has an attorney.
