SALISBURY, N.C. (AP) - Police in a North Carolina city are investigating the shooting deaths of a 7-year-old and a 22-year-old man in a bar parking lot.

Salisbury police found the shooting victims hours apart early Sunday.

Police responding to a call about a shooting at a Salisbury home found the child dead at the scene and a 56-year-old with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was treated at a hospital.

Investigators about three hours earlier had been at Firewater Restaurant and Lounge after a shooting in the parking lot. The victim was 22-year-old Sharod Raheen Mathis of Spencer. He had already been taken by private vehicle to a Salisbury hospital, where he died.
