HEBER CITY, Utah (AP) - Authorities say they have arrested a man accused of setting fire to his father-in-law’s Heber City home.
The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/2h4c4gA ) that no was injured in the Saturday blaze that severely damaged the residence, but police say two cats died.
Officer Xela Thomas says police had responded to find the home fully engulfed in flames. No one had been inside at the time.
Police say the fire appears to have started in the basement where the suspect has been living.
A bystander had spotted the 46-year-old suspect driving away from the scene and followed him to a store, where he was arrested without incident.
The man faces a charge of aggravated arson.
