GREENACRES, Fla. (AP) - Authorities in South Florida say a 12-year-old boy was beaten up and robbed of two pairs of sneakers worth hundreds of dollars.

The Palm Beach Post (https://pbpo.st/2hcc52i )reports that two adults are facing robbery charges after they and three juveniles attacked the boy in the Tavares Cove mobile-home community near Greenacres, Florida.

The boy told Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office detectives that he had gone to a birthday party with the intent of selling Air Jordan Retro 12 sneakers worth $300.

He was walking back to his home early Sunday when the five attackers, who had been at the party, confronted him.

The boy says they also stole a pair of $200 sneakers he was wearing.

The two adults, Nicolas Sanchez and Gonzalo Munoz, were being held on $7,500 bail.
