LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - An Alabama man and a woman face murder charges in connection with a shooting in Gwinnett County.
Gwinnett Police spokeswoman Cpl. Michele Pihera says 30-year-old Demetrius Lamar Heade and 35-year-old Tilisha Lakelia Tate gave police false names when stopped Nov. 11 in Norcross. Pihera, in a news release, said the couple had matched the description of people wanted for a homicide in Mobile, Alabama.
Officers confirmed their identities and arrested them Nov. 12 in the Alabama case.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (https://on-ajc.com/2gPdfns ) reports while in custody, investigators connected the pair to a possible Nov. 10 road rage-related homicide in Lawrenceville. Heade and Tate allegedly side-swiped 39-year-old Michael Harvey and then shot him. They were charged Friday with murder and aggravated assault.
It was unknown if either is represented by an attorney.
