ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Police in Alaska have found a pickup whose windows were shot when the owner tried to stop a thief.
Anchorage police say officers found the truck abandoned near east 20th Avenue.
The pickup has lettering on the driver’s door that says “Robyn” with faded gold graphic stripes.
The truck was reported stolen Friday.
The owner spotted it Monday afternoon in a thrift store parking lot.
Police say she approached the truck on foot and a man behind the wheel drove at her.
The owner fired twice, shattering the front driver’s window and putting a hole in the windshield.
A man in his late 20s was driving and an older woman was a passenger. Police continue to seek the suspects to find out whether they were injured in the shooting.
