CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) - A southeast Missouri man is accused of trying to grab the gun of a police officer who responded to a reported domestic disturbance involving the suspect.
The Southeast Missourian (https://bit.ly/2heRIFL ) reports Cape Girardeau County prosecutors have charged Clarence Dwight Lowe with second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, third-degree domestic assault and resisting arrest.
Police say 49-year-old Lowe grabbed the officer’s firearm and tried to remove it from the holster Sunday before being arrested after the officer managed to twice shock the Cape Girardeau man with a stun gun.
Online court records do not show whether Lowe has an attorney who can speak on his behalf.
