CONWAY, S.C. (AP) - A man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for what prosecutors said was the murder-for-hire killing of a 23-year-old man outside a Myrtle Beach nightclub.

Prosecutors said in a news release that a jury convicted 31-year-old Kevin Tyrone Bryant of murder Thursday.

Authorities say Bryant hid for 10 minutes between two vehicles outside Club Levelz in February 2015 before shooting Saequan Vereen as he came out of the club.

The man authorities say hired Bryant had a murder charge dropped against him in May in exchange for a guilty plea to drug trafficking. Prison records show 35-year-old Robbie Bufkin is serving 16 years in prison.
