FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Police in Fayetteville are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in some woods.

Lt. David McLaurin says the death of 37-year-old Hanee Heron Byrd of Fayetteville is being investigated as a homicide.

The victim’s body was found Tuesday afternoon by a passer-by. The cause of death is still under investigation.

Police are looking for a man for questioning in connection with the death, although that man has not been charged.

Police say the man they are looking for was last seen in a car with Byrd early Sunday.
