ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Jury deliberations have resumed in the trial of a man charged in the fatal shooting of three people in a Rochester apartment two years ago this month.
A Monroe County Court jury began deliberations Tuesday and lasted until 11 p.m. without reaching a verdict in the triple murder case against 23-year-old Steve Fulcott. The district attorney’s office says jurors resumed deliberations at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Prosecutors say Fulcott fatally shot Jermiliah Simmons, her cousin Jaqueline Simmons and their friend Michael Nelson on Feb. 22, 2014.
Authorities say the killings occurred after one of the victims stole from the marijuana trafficking ring Fulcott was involved in.
An accomplice pleaded guilty last month to second-degree murder while a third man was deemed incompetent for trial.
