RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Police have arrested a second suspect in the shooting death of a Raleigh cab driver earlier this week.

Police spokesman Jim Sughrue said in a statement late Tuesday that 27-year-old Conrad Rashad Patterson of Zebulon has been arrested and charged with murder.

Twenty-five-year-old Major Earl Edwards Jr. of Louisburg was arrested Monday on a murder charge.

Fifty-five-year-old Jose Nicolas Dominguez was found dead early Monday near his taxi in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

Sughrue says the motive for the killing is unclear. Authorities haven’t said what led them to Edwards.

The News & Observer (https://bit.ly/20o6Dsd ) reports that Dominguez was a native of the Dominican Republic who moved to Raleigh about 15 years ago. He was the father of two, including a New York City police officer.
