FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The city of Fargo and its police department are sponsoring a benefit fund for the family of an officer who was shot and killed earlier this week.

Officer Jason Moszer was killed after responding to a domestic violence call Wednesday evening in a downtown Fargo neighborhood. The 33-year-old Moszer was a six-year veteran of the force. He is the first Fargo officer killed in the line of duty in more than a century.

Details on the Moszer Family Benefit Fund can be found on the city’s website at www.cityoffargo.com .

Several other fund-raising efforts are being held in the city and elsewhere.
