ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) - A Green River police officer indicted by a grand jury in the death nearly seven years ago of a 2-year-old boy has been ordered held on $1 million bail.
A grand jury indicted Jacob R. Anglesey on a charge of first-degree murder in the March 2009 death of Konnor Corry Allen who had been under Anglesey’s care.
Court officials say the 34-year-old Anglesey does not yet have an attorney.
The Rock Springs Rocket-Miner reports (https://bit.ly/1Llt0I7 ) that Anglesey has been placed on leave from the Green River Police Department and is being held at the Sweetwater County Detention Center.
The initial independent investigation into the boy’s death did not result in any charges being filed, but the case remained open and new information was presented to the grand jury.
