LUCEDALE, Miss. (AP) - The Mississippi Highway Patrol reports that a head-on crash between a sports car and a mid-sized car has killed both drivers - a 44-year-old Louisiana woman and a 22-year-old Mississippi woman.
Cpl. Benjamin Seibert tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1oVhNt8 ) that Marla Holbert of Lafayette, Louisiana, was eastbound in the westbound lane of U.S. 98 near Lucedale about 5:30 a.m.
He says Holbert’s Mazda MX-5 hit a Pontiac G-6 driven by 22-year-old Summer Davis of Lucedale, Mississippi.
Seibert says the accident is still under investigation.
