TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - National weather forecasters say parts of southern New Jersey could see some flooding while the northern part of the station could see up to 2 inches of snow and sleet as a storm system bears down.

The National Weather Service says heavy rain showers are expected late Wednesday in the southern part of the state that could cause flooding in poorly drained areas.

The service has also issued a winter weather advisory for parts of northern New Jersey, including Sussex, Warren and Morris counties beginning later Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning.
