PLYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say the pilot of a small fixed-wing plane has been seriously injured following a crash at Plymouth Municipal Airport.

The crash was reported Saturday afternoon.

The Federal Aviation Administration tells WBZ-TV the Beechcraft Baron aircraft crashed while practicing a landing.

Police say the plane’s pilot suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital via helicopter.

The pilot was the only person on board. Police haven’t released the pilot’s identity.

No further details were immediately available.
