SEATTLE (AP) - A man who was shot in the face on a King County Metro bus in south Seattle had previously been paid $42,000 by the city after he was kicked by a police officer.
The Seattle Times reports (https://bit.ly/1NUgleU ) that 22-year-old D’Vontaveous Hoston was shot in the face by one or two men while riding the bus on Wednesday.
An 18-year-old suspect was arrested for investigation of assault after the incident. He has not been formally charged. Police are still searching for a second suspect.
Hoston made headlines in 2010 after a Seattle Police officer kicked him in a Belltown convenience store. The incident was captured on surveillance video. In 2012, the city agreed to pay $42,000.
