SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) - A Feb. 13 dedication is planned in Sierra Vista for a new memorial honoring law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty in Cochise County.

The memorial located in the front of the Sierra Vista Police Department is the result of work by dozens of volunteers, including Eagle Scout Zachary Chrzanowski (kruhz-uh-NOW’-ski). The son and grandson of law enforcement officers worked on the memorial as his Eagle Scout project.

The memorial has the names of 27 officers from various agencies who died in the line of duty dating back to 1980.
