TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - The sentencing of a Tucson couple convicted of holding their three daughters captive has been pushed back.

A Pima County Superior Court judge Tuesday delayed the sentencing until Feb. 29. It had been scheduled for Feb. 16.

Fernando and Sophia Richter were convicted of three counts each of child abuse and kidnapping in Pima County in December.

Fernando Richter was also found guilty of two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The girls escaped in November 2013 and testified in court that their parents kept them in rooms, rarely allowed bathroom breaks and abused them if they broke any rules.

The Richters will have a separate trial in Pinal County, where the family lived before moving to Tucson, and are facing 24 counts of child abuse and kidnapping.
