NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a man grabbed a woman from behind and threw her to the ground before robbing and sexually assaulting her on a New York City block.
It happened around 5 a.m. Saturday as the woman was crossing a street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
Police say the 36-year-old woman had been walking along East 94th Street when the man accosted her after she crossed Second Avenue.
Police say the suspect then forced her to walk further down the block, stole $40 and sexually assaulted her.
Surveillance video shows he then followed her into the M and M Market and apparently argued with a worker there.
Police are looking for the suspect.
