BLOOMFIELD, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a 16-year-old boy has been charged with the slaying of a man in southern Iowa.
The Iowa Department of Public Safety says the boy was charged Monday with first-degree murder, accused of killing 39-year-old Michael Goodwin Sr. The Associated Press generally doesn’t name juveniles accused of crimes.
Davis County deputies sent Dec. 13 to check Goodwin’s welfare found his body inside his rural residence, about seven miles north of Bloomfield.
