WAUWATOSA, Wis. (AP) - Police in a Milwaukee suburb say officers responding to a domestic disturbance found a woman dead outside an apartment and shot a man who attacked a supervisor with a knife.
Wauwatosa (wah-wah-TOH’-sah) Police Chief Barry Weber said Tuesday officers were called to the Normandy Apartments about 8 p.m. Monday after a neighbor called to report a woman screaming.
Officers chased a man who fled from the scene. And when they caught up with him he stabbed the 50-year-old police supervisor. Weber says two other officers shot the 34-year-old man He was taken to the hospital. The officer was treated and released from the hospital.
Weber says additional officers found a woman dead outside the apartment building. The chief wouldn’t comment on how she died. An autopsy was scheduled Tuesday.
