CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A Casper man convicted of distributing methamphetamine throughout Wyoming has been sentenced to life in prison.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports ( ) that 39-year-old Harold Creighton was sentenced Monday at the federal courthouse in Casper.

Creighton was found guilty in November of conspiracy to distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine.

Witnesses said that Creighton bought meth outside the state and then distributed the drug in several Wyoming communities between early 2014 and May 2015.

Creighton’s case was investigated by the state and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration as part of a national effort to cut down on drug trafficking.
