PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - There’s been some football trash talk in the genteel Portland Symphony Orchestra.

Maestro Robert Moody comes from a Clemson family while the orchestra’s assistant conductor, Norman Huynh, played for the Million Dollar band at the University of Alabama.

The Portland Press Herald reports that Moody and Huynh come from football families.

Moody went to school at Furman University in South Carolina but cheered for Clemson and has attended Clemson games since he was a boy. Huynh grew up in Alabama and calls football “a way of life.”

Both watched the game Sunday night at Moody’s home in North Carolina.
