CLEVELAND (AP) - A medical examiner has identified a man police said was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head in an SUV in northeast Ohio.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday identified the man police found Tuesday night as 33-year-old Roderick Burton II, of North Olmsted.

Police found Burton when they responded to a report about of gunfire in a Cleveland neighborhood. The responding officers found the man seated behind the wheel of the SUV.



Police say they believe the SUV crashed into several parked cars after Burton was shot. Witnesses told police they heard gunshots and then a crash.

Investigators say they had no immediate suspects and were trying to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting.
