MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) - Moscow’s police chief will retire this summer after five years at the helm of the department.

The Moscow-Pullman Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1P2YGc0 ) that 60-year-old Chief David Duke will step down in June. He was promoted to chief in January 2011 after serving as assistant chief since 2005. He came to the department from the Oklahoma City Police Department in 1999.

City officials say there will be a national search for the next police chief, and there will be opportunities for the public to meet candidates.
