TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A court commissioner and two prosecutors are among a state commission’s six nominees for a Pima County Superior Court judgeship.
The Pima County Commission on Trial Court Appointments nominated the six for appointment by Gov. Doug Ducey to fill a vacancy created by Judge Christopher Staring’s appointment to the Arizona Court of Appeals.
The nominees include Superior Court Commissioner Wayne E. Yehling, Assistant Arizona Attorney General Nanette C. Morrow and Kellie L. Johnson, chief criminal deputy with the Pima County Attorney’s Office.
The other three nominees are attorneys Janet Calkins Bostwick, Cynthia T. Kuhn and Daniel Gregory Sakall.
Bostwick is an independent. Johnson and Yehling are Democrats. Kuhn, Morrow and Sakall are Republicans.
