GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - The Grand Rapids Police Department is holding four community meetings in each of the city’s geographic service areas.

A news release from the city of Grand Rapids says the meetings will involve discussions of the police department’s mission statement, community priorities and ways to ensure those priorities drive the department’s goals and directives. The meetings also will allow residents to discuss the tools and tactics employed by Grand Rapids police.

The meetings will be held between Jan. 19 and Jan. 28 at various locations in Grand Rapids.
