LOS ANGELES (AP) - Police say one person was shot and wounded at a Los Angeles mall.
Police say the shooting was reported at about 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw mall.
The LAPD says officers are talking to potential witnesses and gathering evidence. No arrests have been announced.
The victim was taken to a hospital. No immediate information was available on their identity or condition.
Annabel Lemus, who works at a frozen yogurt stand in the mall, tells the Los Angeles Times (https://lat.ms/1JdYDrw) people were “screaming and running and being hysterical” after a gunshot was heard. She said she and a co-worker hid in a corner of the stand until they knew it was safe. She said she did not see anyone with a gun or see the person who was shot.
