Albuquerque police: Death of person found in yard suspicious

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Albuquerque police are investigating a suspicious death of a person found injured in a yard.

Police say a resident of the 4600 block of Eighth Street Northwest called 911 after finding a non-responsive female in the resident’s yard early Wednesday morning.

It’s not immediately known whether the dead person was an adult or a juvenile, but Officer Fred Duran says responding officers were able to determine the person was dead.

Police are trying to identify the person. Cause of death hasn’t been determined.
