CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) - A Tulsa woman faces embezzlement charges after being accused of using credit cards of an oil-field services company to make more than $16,000 worth of personal transactions.
Authorities say 55-year-old Mary Patrice Hudson used two credit cards issued by the company, Baker Hughes, for more than 250 purchases between May 2012 and June 2013. Her arrest warrant says the purchases totaled more than $16,000.
The Tulsa World reports (https://bit.ly/1JZjwqC ) that Hudson was charged Wednesday in Rogers County.
Court records say Hudson was an employee of the company’s Claremore office during the time she made the fraudulent charges. The company started investigating the transactions in July 2013.
Embezzlement convictions can result in up to five years in jail, a maximum fine of $5,000 and restitution.
