CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A Dunbar man has pleaded guilty in the shooting death of a man at a Charleston-area motel.

The Charleston Gazette-Mail reports (https://bit.ly/1OKF2fq) 26-year-old Marcus Dominick Curtis pleaded guilty Thursday to first-degree murder in the January 2015 death of Kalvon Casdorph.

Casdorph was shot and killed inside a motel room in Cross Lanes.

Curtis told a judge that he and two other people each got about $1,100 out of what they stole from Casdorph after he was dead.

In a deal with prosecutors, Curtis agreed to testify against Terrick Hogan and Shayla Stephenson in exchange for a sentence with a chance for parole.

Stephenson pleaded guilty in September to conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery.

Hogan’s trial is scheduled to begin Monday. He’s also charged with first-degree murder in Casdorph’s death.
