WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. Conference of Mayors winter meeting in Washington is wrapping up a couple of hours early due to impending inclement weather.
The meeting has been underway in Washington since Wednesday. But as a massive snow storm is bearing down on the nation’s capital, U.S. Conference of Mayors Director of Communications Elena Temple-Webb says the meeting is ending a bit earlier than planned.
Temple-Webb says the meeting was scheduled to wrap up at 2 p.m. Friday, but because of weather conditions the afternoon luncheon and some morning meetings have been cancelled.
