GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A jury has convicted a woman accused of stealing as much as $180,000 from her Glenwood Springs employer between 2009 and 2012.
The Glenwood Springs Post Independent reports (https://goo.gl/FiolwG ) jurors deliberated for about three and a half hours before finding Erin Pressler, of New Castle, guilty Thursday of stealing from her employer, illegally collecting Social Security disability payments and filing false tax returns, among other crimes.
Prosecutors say Pressler embezzled as much as $180,000 while working at Designer Door Hardware.
Pressler’s attorneys argued that the business’ owner gave her permission to use company money to pay off some debt and that the case wholly depended upon his word about what was or was not authorized spending.
