CLEVELAND (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found buried in the backyard of a Cleveland home.

Officers searching found the body Thursday while searching for a missing person. A cadaver dog located the body in a shallow grave around noon.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man but didn’t immediately release his name or age.

Tests are being conducted to determine the cause of death.

Police didn’t release the name of the missing person they were searching for when they discovered the body. Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia did not say whether the body found in the grave was that of the missing person.
