HOUSTON (AP) - A woman faces charges after police say she shot at officers after leading them on a chase in a stolen vehicle in east Houston.
The Houston Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1KeIQcf ) that 41-year-old Kimberly Anne Roco is charged with aggravated assault against a public servant in the incident that occurred around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say a chase began when Roco refused to stop after officers saw her driving a pickup truck that had been reported stolen.
Officers chased her as she turned onto a dead-end street and then reversed, ramming their squad car. She later climbed out of the truck and fired a pistol at the officers, who returned fire. She surrendered and was taken into custody.
It wasn’t immediately clear if Roco has a lawyer.
No one was injured. An investigation is ongoing.
