PHILLIPS, Wis. (AP) - A 55-year-old woman has died in a snowmobile crash in northern Wisconsin.

The Price County Sheriff’s Office says the crash was reported around 7 p.m. Saturday on Solberg Lake, east of Phillips.

WSAW-TV (https://bit.ly/1Q4vfRv ) reports the initial investigation shows the snowmobile was crossing the lake when it struck the shoreline. The driver was thrown and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead at Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls.

The name of the victim was not immediately released.
