IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (AP) - State police say a western New York driver is facing alcohol-related charges after a wrong-way crash on a suburban Rochester highway.
Troopers say Lynn Saylor was driving north in the southbound lanes of state Route 590 in the Monroe County town of Irondequoit Tuesday night when his pickup truck hit another vehicle head-on.
The 63-year-old Rochester man was charged with driving while intoxicated and other traffic and vehicle violations. He was taken to a hospital with minor injuries and later jailed.
A 47-year-old Rochester woman who was driving the second vehicle was also treated for minor injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.
It couldn’t be determined if Saylor has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
