HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Hartford police say they have arrested two men who were wanted in connection with a sex trafficking investigation involving an 18-year-old woman who was held against her will for a month, physically abused and forced into prostitution.

Police say 31-year-old Dwayne Hairston of Windsor and 25-year-old Eric Williams of Hartford were arrested during a drug bust in Hartford on Wednesday night.

Authorities had obtained arrest warrants last week for Hairston and Williams. Hairston is charged with trafficking in persons, kidnapping and other crimes, and Williams is charged with first-degree sexual assault.

Hartford police say they rescued the woman from a North End address in September.

Hairston and Williams are detained. It wasn’t immediately clear if they have lawyers who could respond to the allegations.
