NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A New Orleans man has been sentenced to more than 13 years in prison for a bank robbery.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 54-year-old Thomas Eugene was sentenced Wednesday for a 2009 robbery at an Iberia Bank branch in New Orleans’ Central Business District.
Eugene had pleaded guilty in the case.
U.S. District Judge Sarah Vance sentenced him to serve 13 years and four months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. He also must also pay restitution in the amount of $5,269.
