RALSTON, Neb. (AP) - A Douglas County woman has been accused of breaking one of her 2-month-old son’s legs.
Court records say the woman is charged with intentional child abuse, causing injury.
Ralston police arrested 22-year-old Brittany Burgess Wednesday. Jail records say she remained in custody Friday. Online court records don’t list the name of an attorney who could be contacted to comment on Burgess’ behalf.
A court document says a hospital doctor told officers a bone in one of the boy’s lower legs was fractured more than once and was caused “by pushing down and twisting.”
