CAMDEN, S.C. (AP) - The South Carolina National Guard and the Columbia VA Regional Office are pairing up to hold a forum for military veterans who need help obtaining medical care, benefits and job information.

The event is being held Thursday at the South Carolina National Guard Armory on Ehrenclou Drive in Camden.

VA Regional Office Assistant Director Woody Middleton will meet with veterans and their families. VA staffers are planning to help veterans enroll for benefits and answer queries about individual claims.

Members of the National Guard’s service member and family care group are attending to offer information on jobs for veterans, where to obtain educational assistance, and sources of financial and legal guidance.
