AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - In a story July 14 about a trash-to-energy proposal in Hampden, Maine, The Associated Press reported that the Department of Environmental Protection cited the company, Fiberight, for failing to disclose that it had been fined by federal regulators in Iowa. The story should have noted that state agency’s action consisted of sending a letter to Fiberight telling the company to disclose the fine to Maine regulators.
