ATTICA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say an 81-year-old Lapeer County man was pinned beneath the roof of a home after a tree fell during a storm.

Sheriff’s officials say they responded to a 911 call Wednesday evening and found the man in the Attica Township cottage. A news release says he required medical attention but his injuries aren’t considered life-threatening.

Police say the tree, which they believe fell because of severe weather conditions, caused extensive damage to the house.
