HAZEL CREST, Ill. (AP) - Police in Hazel Crest say a man and two children have been shot dead at a home in the southern Chicago suburb.
Officers responded to a report of gunshots around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. They found the man and two children wounded.
They were taken to hospitals and later died of their injuries.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victims as 39-year old Dionus M. Neeley, 10-year-old Elle Neeley and 3-year-old India Neeley.
South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force and Hazel Crest police are investigating.
Authorities released no other details on the slayings.
