HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Police are investigating after a man has been gunned down in the middle of a street in Pennsylvania’s capital city.

Harrisburg police believe the dead man was in his late 20s. He was found wounded after witnesses reported hearing about seven shots about 10:45 p.m. Thursday.

The man was taken to a hospital, but pronounced dead.

The Dauphin County coroner and police did not immediately release the man’s identity. The coroner’s office says that likely wouldn’t happen until after an autopsy on Tuesday.

No arrests have been made.
