JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Two Poinsett County jail inmates who escaped in Jonesboro have been recaptured.
KAIT reports (https://bit.ly/2a7Aoz0 ) that Jonesboro police spokesman Paul Holmes says Dustin Ruthven and Bryant Smith were recaptured less than a mile from NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Holmes said the two were being transported from a drug rehabilitation center in Missouri back to Poinsett County when they asked to use the restroom. Holmes says the driver of the van carrying them stopped at the hospital and the two escaped.
It was not immediately released how the two escaped.
