JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say the death of a man attacked a few blocks away from his western Pennsylvania home has been ruled a homicide.
Officials in Cambria County say 72-year-old Elmer Way was struck and knocked to the ground at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Johnstown.
Coroner Jeffrey Lees said an autopsy Friday “confirmed the cause of death as a traumatic brain injury caused by blunt force trauma from the fall.”
Johnstown police said a suspect has been interviewed but no charges had been filed. Chief Craig Foust said “we have a pretty good idea what happened at this point.”
