CLAYMONT, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say a bicyclist was injured when he was hit by a pickup truck in Claymont.
Troopers said in a news release that it happened Tuesday afternoon on Hillside Road. Police say 22-year-old Benjamin Gary of Claymont was riding a bicycle east.
Authorities say when Gary entered an intersection, he rode directly into the path of a pickup truck driven by 54-year-old Nadeen Gillespie of Wilmington.
Gary was taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. He was cited by troopers with failure to yield the right of way.
