RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Records show the son of Raleigh’s police chief has been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.

Multiple media outlets report that 24-year-old David Louis Brown II was arrested earlier this week on the felony charge.

Brown is the son of Raleigh Police Chief Cassandra Deck-Brown.

It’s not David Brown’s first arrest.

He was charged last July on a misdemeanor charge involving what police said was a “dispute over a bar tab.” Brown was charged with defrauding an innkeeper.

He also was charged in 2014 with failing to keep a court date in an accusation that he had not returned property that he had rented with an option to buy it.

It was not clear if he has an attorney on the stolen vehicle charge.
